I don’t follow a rigid artistic philosophy. Every client and shoot is different, so I approach each project with a practical mindset—planning ahead but leaving room for adaptability. My aim is always to understand what’s needed and deliver it reliably, without overcomplicating the process.

My work has been published internationally and has appeared in a range of newspapers and magazines. These features have included both event coverage and commissioned editorial work. I’m comfortable working in fast-paced environments, on-location, or in more controlled studio setups, depending on the brief.

If you're looking for a photographer who combines experience with a straightforward, professional approach—I’m happy to help.

Welcome to michael dinan (md) photography.

I’ve been behind the camera since I was 10 years old. What started as a personal interest quickly evolved into something more serious. By the age of 14, I had completed my first commissioned job, and at 15, I had the opportunity to intern with Helen Tinner—an established professional in the photography world. That early mentorship helped shape my approach to visual storytelling, balancing technical skill with a strong sense of composition and purpose. At 16, I was fortunate to have my work exhibited at the Saatchi Gallery in London, a milestone that confirmed photography would be more than just a hobby.

My original inspiration came from motorsport—particularly Formula 1. The speed, detail, and intensity of the sport fascinated me, and I was drawn to how photographers like Mark Sutton could capture both motion and emotion in a single frame. I began shooting motorsport events locally and gradually expanded to other disciplines, developing a fast-paced, responsive style that still defines much of my work.

Since then, I’ve broadened my focus to include a wide range of subjects—everything from weddings and live events to portrait sessions and commercial projects. I enjoy the variety and the unique challenges each job presents. Whether I’m photographing a high-speed race, a quiet moment between a couple, or a team’s updated corporate headshots, my goal is the same: to deliver sharp, authentic, and visually strong images that speak for themselves.
